So this weekend saw the opening of the Vintage MX Pop-Up Shop in Oostham, Belgium! Friday was the official lauch, with invited guests and Press, and on Sunday it was finally open to the "Motocrossing" public!
The man behind the store is Geert Gevers, a die hard Vintage Motocross fan and a massive supporter of 250London.
He wrote some words for us...
"As a child my parents took me to the tracks almost every week. They were very much involved with motocross. You can safely say I grew up with the sound and smell of dirtbikes. I was always more of a spectator than an actual pilot, but some years ago I discovered "oldtimer" cross to be my point of interest. Not only watching and participating competition, but also building my bike and searching for parts and accessoiries have become a huge pastime. Throughout the years I became friends with several likeminded enthusiasts, e.g. Jan Geboers, Danny Hermans and David Cools. When I got in touch with Adam’s vintage apparel and 250London’s race kits, I instantly was hooked and the idea grew to open a vintage MX pop-up shop. And now we ‘re there, yesterday the shop opened for 3 months, and you‘re all welcome to pay us a visit!"
And so to the shop itself... Geert has curated some great vintage products to complement the 250 Kit as well as some cool vintage bikes, accessories and "curiousities"!! Have a browse of the gallery...
