Let’s be honest, if we’re going to learn a new skill, we may as well learn it from a Master of the craft, right? In this case, the craft was Flat Track and the Master was Gary Birtwhistle. Jen, a fairly new Dirt Bike owner, was itching to have a go at Flat Track and despite being an absolute beginner, was made very welcome on Gary’s brand new training camp - DIRT CRAFT.
“Fast forward a few years and I moved out to California in 2014 to take a job. I missed racing quite a bit and somehow ended up at the Del Mar Fairgrounds watching a Flat Track race. That was it, it was all over. Now I'm a psycho for dirt track motorcycle racing. I picked up an old TT500 and turned it into a flat tracker, and took it to that same Del Mar race the next year. I had no idea what I was doing!”
We’re stoked to announce that we’re working with Jones Motorcycles in Sydney, Australia, and our products are now proudly hanging in their rather cool store. Jones Motorcycles, which nestles in Mona Vale, Sydney Northern Beaches is the home of Mutt Motorcycles on Australian shore.

250LONDON had a “Mega” weekend with riders repping all over the Goddam place and having an awesome time in the process! We’re so appreciative of the riders who embrace our brand, whether as supported riders or Privateers, they’re all important to us! Here’s just a few of the riders who were out there, having an awesome time, styling it up and making us look bloody good!
Jen’s launching a new Club for Women Riders. The wheels are already in motion, the 250WRC Instagram is live and the website is being spannered as I write. Here she is to tell you what inspired The 250 WRC….
Back in March, 10 rad Women Riders, many of whom had never met, set off on a four day, off-road tour of the Sahara Desert, a trip organised by Sideburn Magazine…. Caylee Hankins was the woman behind the lense and she captured the trip beautifully, with some additional photos from Lucia Aucott.
250LONDON MX Team Rider, Kayleigh Durston, did us all proud at Rnd 2 of the British Womens Motocross Asscociation Series. She came 5th overall, gaining a place on Rnd 1. Competition is tough in the series so it’s always great to Kayleigh’s enthusiasm for Motocross shine through at each event but she’s an awesome rider and fighting for a top 10 ProClass Championship place with just two more rounds to decide!
We travelled way North for the Steel City DH event for the second year running and we had a blast! Again. Take our word for it, it’s a cracking event! It’s well organised, the atmosphere is fab, everyone’s in a good mood and the racing is awesome! Both our DH Team riders, Jonny Oddy and Pasca Nicholson, took the plunge and entered for the first time. They had a good time. Here’s the lowdown….
When we ran our promotion to find a female rider for the 250LONDON DH Team, we had the ideal girl in mind. She was a figment of our imagination of course, just a vision of THAT girl we wanted on our team. So you can imagine how stoked we were to receive Pasca’s application to be on the Team, because she was “IT”, she ticked all the boxes…
We showcased at the MXGP of Great Britain for the first time this year and the bonus was not only meeting, but styling Matiss Karro from Latvia. Nicknamed “The Arrow”, Matiss didn’t get his kit on time, so we stepped in to help him out…
Let us introduce you to our new 250LONDON Downhill Team Rider, Jonny Oddy! He kicked off his season at Rnd 1 of the Pearce Downhill Series in Ludlow at the weekend and had a pretty good race, all things considered! Here’s the lowdown, words by Jonny!
Friend and fan of 250LONDON, Leonie Watkins, is a London based Writer, Editor and Producer. She’s cool, she’s creative and she’s crazy about motorbikes, so when we asked her to write about her recent experience at Days on the Dirt with Leah Tokelove, she was on it like a Scotch Bonnet! Here is her story…
Travelling nearly 5,000 miles to ride your bike seems a little excessive but when an opportunity opens up to visit the mecca of mountain bike resorts, you quickly forget about the distance and start packing the bags and the bike. Well that’s exactly what 250LONDON rider Pete Lawrie did! Upon his return, he collated his photos and penned some words to tell us all about it…
Our Model Motocross riders, Jake Young and Jevan Williams, repped 250 again this year at the Welsh 2 Day. They collated some pics for us and Jake even gave us a short lowdown on their experience over the 2 days....
On a recent visit to Scotland, friend of 250LONDON, Sam Burton of Two Gun Salute, managed to get a rare few days together for a bike trip. Having heard great things about the North Coast 500 route, heading to John O’Groats seemed like the only sensible thing to do. Here’s his ride report and some cracking photos…
Tony Davis, friend and supporter of 250, took himself and his bikes to the Motorcycle Garden Party of the year, The Malle Mile, prepped with new kit and determination to have a good time. And he did just that! Here's his review of a ruddy good race!!
Some very interesting people cross our path here at 250. Whether we meet them in the 250LONDON Store or at an event, when they purchase products from us, we're always fascinated to find out where that kit ends up, what journey it goes on because we just love to hear the stories and see the pictures! So when Luca Maraschin tagged us in some awesome photos on Instragram, we got very excited!!
The location for Rnd 2 of Southern Enduro, on Sunday 10th June, was Pippingford Park in Kent. We had two Crews there repping 250LONDON and having a ruddy good time, The Motley Crew and Team Far Kew....
If you lived, breathed and raced Mountain Bikes back in the Golden Era of the 80's and 90's, you WILL know of Dave Hemming. A genuine legend of his time, his credentials are off the scale and very very enviable. So needless to say, we're stoked that he's racing for 250LONDON at the Malverns Classic this weekend!
What a blast we had last Saturday at Peaty's Steel City Downhill Race up in Sheffield! The whole day surpassed our expectations. Honestly folks, believe the hype, it's an awesome event…
What can we say about these guys apart from the obvious, that they ooze style and spirit! Meet Team Far Kew, AKA Bradley Beets, Will Cleland and Ryan Sturgess. They rocked up to Rnd 1 of the Southern Enduro Series wearing our Tropical Moto Jersey, accented with bright pink flock print...

We were excited to celebrate our 2nd Birthday recently so gathered some friends, colleagues and customers of 250 and had a nice old time chatting, eating and drinking the night away at our London store.
A week on, we thought we'd remember our amazing weekend at DirtQuake by writing a bit of a blog about it! We didn't get to see too much of the racing but fortunately we did witness Calum Pryce-Tidd of deBolex Engineering take the win in the Street Tracker Class whilst repping the 250LONDON X DirtQuake Moto Jersey!
The 250LONDON Store is now open, looking smart and ready to welcome visitors and customers. London's first "Dirt Bike Boutique", we're showcasing the full range of 250LONDON off-road clothing, along with carefully curated accessories by brands which complement ours.
"Well prepped", "great set up", "excellent little track". Just some of the things that spring to mind when we think back to Wednesday, when TEAM 250 spent a knackering but satisfying day at the LDR Training Facility, in Gloucestershire.
If we can't ride then we love to watch, so we took off for the day on Sunday to watch our new 250 riders, Jacob Young and Jevan Williams, racing in the Hare N Hounds Enduro Event at the legendary Canada Heights track...
Spring is almost sprung but our girl in Finlan, Tuire Aho, was determined to get her studs on and find some snow and she got lucky in a field in Mäntsälä, Southern Finland.
“I just ride a Flat Track. I only run the left curve, but the course conditions change every time and it needs skill to control the bike. This technique captivates me!” ~ SAMSON HANANO
