"Well prepped", "great set up", "excellent little track". Just some of the things that spring to mind when we think back to Wednesday, when TEAM 250 spent a knackering but satisfying day at the LDR Training Facility, in Gloucestershire. A bit of a drive from London for us but definitely worth the miles for what we got in return. It was an Open Track Day for Adults and Juniors, a chance for those passionate about MX to get in some practice, burn some fuel and turn some dirt! And that's what we did, lap after lap after lap!
Lee Dunham is the man behind the machine. He's the only person in history to win back to back MX2 AMCA British and MX2 IMBA European Championships in the same year, 2 years running. He also has 2 x MX1 AMCA British Championships, a Superclass Championship and a KWS International Championship title as well as the Alec Wright Award presented by Kawasaki Motors UK for outstanding achievements. Now that's what we call credentials and probably why he's running a successful and highly regarded facility, not to mention the LDR Training School and the Team Green Kawasaki Training Days. Lee and Kawasaki stem back years and years, all the way through Lee's racing career and now onto LDR and the LDR Training Facility.
He had this to say...
We took some photos around the compound and of Lee with his Team Green Racing crew...
Onto the riders... we took lots of pics around the track and the pits, and caught up with some great kids and characters, not to mention some pretty neat bikes...
In the absence of a Pro Photographer, Jen stepped up to snap some of the riders on the track. She's no action photographer (yet) but hopefully these are "better than nout", as they say!
All in all a great day out and the boys all hurt like heck the next day, which was a good sign! A big thanks to Lee & Co for a putting on a quality event.
