We headed East to The Bike Shed on Saturday to toast the launch of issue #24 of Flat Tracking Magazine Sideburn. We're big fans of the Mag, which is a proper printed magazine (old school!) We love to support it and sell it in our London store, so if you're passing through Chiswick, you can always drop in and pick up a copy!
See the wicked cover? It's one of our favourite covers and is the work of a very cool chick called Toria Jaymes, a talented Illustrator and founder of Stay Outside Studio. There's a feature on Toria in the mag so grab a copy and read all about her. Here she is in front of the mahoosive mural she created for the launch...
It was good to see Gary, the dedicated genius behind the Mag, looking busy with a steady stream of people wanting his attention and buying the mags and tee shirts! His son Max was there too, looking very cool in the all new Sideburn Dirt Shirt! We teamed up with Mark Wilson from MWA Design to create the jersey. We've worked with Mark before, he helped us create the 250 logo and is a big fan of retro BMX/Dirt Bike style! The Dirt Shirt will be available to buy on the Sideburn Webstore soon, keep your eyes peeled...
There was a great atmosphere at the event, plenty of people milling around drinking beer and admiring the array of bikes on display. The DTRA were also there ahead of their season opener on Sunday.
So, while we were at The Bike Shed we had a mooch in the store and were really pleased to see our kit being showcased around the retail space. We have to say it works really well there and, thanks to the colours, really pops out and grabs the eye. Ever near Old Street? Then do drop in for a coffee and a nosy, and check out our kit while you're there! Here's some more pics...
